Socialshield recently received two special Certificates of Congressional Recognition from both Republican US Congressman John Campbell as well as Democrat US Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez recognizing our “Outstanding Work in Improving Internet Safety for Children.” We are proud of the role that our online monitoring service has played in making the extensive and often unknown world of social networking a safer place for kids, and we are eager to continue to provide parents with a better peace of mind when it comes to what their kids are doing online.
Our co-founders Arad Rostampour and Noah Kindler recently met with Congressman Campbell in his Orange County office, while Arad also met with Congresswoman Sanchez at Chapman University to discuss safety on social networks and to accept the certificates.
After the meetings, Arad noted, “We are honored to receive this recognition and delighted the US Congress acknowledges the importance of creating a safe online environment for our children. The SocialShield team is passionate about providing parents with the best-in-breed monitoring service to help them keep their children safe on social networks. It is a great privilege to receive this distinguished award from both Congressman Campbell and Congresswoman Sanchez.”
While we are taking the necessary steps to provide a more positive and beneficial online experience for kids, there are many dangers – including cyberbullying, online predators and damage to one’s reputation – that constantly creep up in various forms for kids of all ages and of varying levels of online presence. There is still work to be done and we are excited to continue working towards keeping kids safe on social networks.
