Will Smart Kids Be a Smart Social Network?
May 26, 2011 at 11:45 am 0 commentsWhile still in the very early stages of development, children’s online education and entertainment site Smart Kids Group, Inc. has plans to develop their own social network for kids. A growing online trend, “kids only” social networks like imbee, Everloop, and now Smart Kids are all being created to give kids more positive and appropriate online opportunities. According to a recent press release, the Smart Kids Community is currently available in limited access for adults to review and provide feedback about the site in its early stages.
Promising a safe, private and secure network, Smart Kids hopes to offer a combination of “the five elements of education, safety, health, fitness and edutainment” [education and information through entertainment]. The site is currently very underdeveloped compared to the more popular sites out there dedicated to safe and secure social networks for kids. But as kids younger and younger are going online these days, it’s important for them to have options for what kids’ sites to choose and Smart Kids could provide an additional option for them to check out.
How old did your kids have to be to create any kind of online profile?
