Kids’ Social Network Declares No Bully Zone
May 24, 2011 at 4:00 pm 1 commentImbee, one of the most popular social networks set up specifically for kids, recently launched a No Bully Zone campaign. The campaign, comprised of a User’s Pledge, Partner’s Commitment, and No Bully Zone Fan Zone, was created to raise awareness of bullying and provide content and tools to help combat bullying. By providing different resources on their site and instating a zero-tolerance policy for bullying throughout the social network, imbee hopes to raise awareness about cyberbullying and the dangerous consequences and affects it can have.

The campaign has three main components to help achieve its goals. The User’s Pledge is in place to encourage kids on the site to avoid bullying. The Partner’s Commitment is a request of all imbee sponsors and supporters to participate in the campaign as well. And the No Bully Zone Fan Zone provides an environment where users can access resources including the site’s PSA shown below, share stories, and post other videos and information online.
By providing a steady stream of information and useful materials to help kids be more aware of bullying – and how they can avoid and prevent it – imbee will hopefully make an impact on not only the users within the imbee community itself but amongst all kids who spend time online. Any campaign like this provides resources and advice that make kids more knowledgeable and respectful both on- and offline, and we’re excited to hear more about the success of imbee’s No Bully Zone campaign.
Does your child use imbee or another social network meant strictly for kids?
