What is it with famous athletes and sexting? First Tiger Woods, then Brett Favre, and now basketball star Tony Parker. Desperate Housewives actress Eva Longoria Parker recently discovered hundreds of texts between Parker and Erin Barry, wife of Parker’s former Spurs teammate Brent Barry. The sexting relationship has been going on for at least the past year, and Longoria Parker is now filing for divorce.

Parker is insisting that the relationship was never physical and only revolved around sexting. But that isn’t helping his case – sexting is still sexting and has unlimited negative consequences. Not only can it ruin relationships – as Parker now knows – but it can severely change one’s reputation. Tiger Wood’s sexting scandal led to the revelation of countless mistresses, and Brett Favre’s football legacy is undoubtedly tarnished because of his overshare texts to Jenn Sterger. How many more high profile slip-ups will it take for people to understand this simple message? Sexting is and will always be inappropriate and personally damaging.
